IT Relocation Done Properly
Moving IT equipment is not the same as moving furniture. Here is what makes our approach different.
Anti-Static Packaging
All IT equipment is transported in ESD-safe packaging with shock-absorbing foam inserts. Servers, switches, and storage arrays are individually wrapped — no shortcuts, no bubble wrap that should not be there.
Out-of-Hours Moves
Your systems stay online during business hours. We move your IT infrastructure in the evening, overnight, or at weekends — scheduled around your maintenance windows and least-busy periods.
Asset Tracking & Documentation
Every item is barcode-scanned and photographed before disconnection. Cable layouts are documented. You receive a full inventory with photographic records — so you know exactly where everything is.
Chain of Custody
GPS-tracked vehicles, sealed loads, and signed delivery manifests at every stage. You know where your equipment is from the moment it leaves your old location until it arrives at the new one.
IT-Trained Crew
Our moving teams include staff trained in IT hardware handling. They understand rack layouts, cable management, and the importance of proper shutdown and startup procedures.
Post-Move Testing
We do not leave until power-on and basic connectivity tests are completed. If something is not right, we work with your IT team to resolve it before we sign off.
How an IT Move Works
Five clear steps — from site survey to post-move testing, with your IT team involved at every stage.
Site Survey & Planning
We assess your current infrastructure, identify risks, and create a detailed move plan with your IT team.
We document rack layouts, cable configurations, and power requirements at both locations. The plan covers shutdown sequence, packing methods, transport route, and reinstallation order.
Pre-Move Preparation
Cables are labelled and mapped. Equipment is photographed. Anti-static packaging materials are prepared.
Every cable gets a colour-coded label corresponding to a port map. Racks are photographed front and back. Your IT team confirms the shutdown sequence and any special handling requirements.
Secure Packing & Transport
Equipment is packed in ESD-safe materials, loaded into GPS-tracked vehicles, and transported to the new location.
Servers are individually wrapped in anti-static foam. Racks are dismantled and labelled. Vehicles are sealed before departure and tracked throughout the journey.
Reinstallation & Setup
Racks are reassembled, equipment is installed according to the documented layout, and cables are reconnected.
Following the photographs and port maps from step two, everything goes back exactly as it was — or in a new arrangement if you are reconfiguring during the move.
Testing & Sign-Off
Power-on tests, basic connectivity checks, and a final walk-through with your IT team before sign-off.
We do not consider the job complete until your IT team confirms systems are operational. Any issues identified during testing are resolved before the crew leaves.
